We are looking for:
Roughneck with Mechanical interest or Mechanic with Drill Floor qualification
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant education/certificate from technical or mechanical school/education
- Preferably Engineer degree or relevant. If not, experience from mechanic/hydraulic (drilling) equipment
- Systematic familiarisation/competence assessment(s) for position
- Documented practical experience from drilling operations
- Fluent written/oral English & Norwegian language
DUTIES
- Perform any necessary work in connection with drilling operations
- Step in for drill floor roughnecks
- Mentor and supervise new employees
- Perform maintenance and occasional repair work in the drilling areas and the associated equipment
- Ensure that the maintenance program is carried out in accordance with the company’s maintenance program, but the maintenance work may be delegated to roughnecks provided the safety and technical criteria are safeguarded
- Update the company’s maintenance program after the completion of work and be able to create new jobs as required
- Ensure that parts for jobs are ordered and follow this up in cooperation with the materials administrator
- Report the condition of equipment to Toolpusher, Driller and Technical Section Leader
- Assist rig mechanics and subsea engineer as required
- Required at any given time to observe Odfjell Drilling’s job description and show a great deal of flexibility in the position and provide assistance where the supervisor finds such to be appropriate
- Able to perform any necessary work in connection with the operation and mechanical maintenance of the drill cuttings system and the associated auxiliary systems

Primarily the Driller, but also Toolpusher / Technical Section Leader.
