QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS
- Electricianshall satisfy the requirements related to formal education in accordance withinternational regulations for mobile offshore drilling units
- Certificationas electro-automation technician, alternatively ship electrician orqualification as electrician with maritime technical module
- ETO Certificate
- Satisfyrequirement for high-voltage competence on mobile offshore drilling unitwith system voltage above 1000 VAC
- Additionalcompetence is required with respect to electrical installations in hazardousareas (Ex), rules and regulations, as well as system training specified tor theposition
- Systematicfamiliarization/Competence Assessment(s) for position
- Documentedrelevant experience from offshore/maritime operations
- Fluentwritten/oral English & Norwegian language
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Electricianis responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of
electrical systemsand associated equipment on the unit
- Ensurethat electrical systems comply with regulations
- Participatein the execution of multi-disciplinary maintenance
- Ensurecompliance with the procedures relating to maintenance of the rig’s temporaryequipment (electrical tools, etc)
- Ensurecompliance with the procedures relating to the rig’s electricalsafety (equipment, etc.)
- Housekeepingin the electrical workshop and other areas of responsibility
- Installationof new electrical equipment
- Controland hook-up of equipment, for service companies, to the rig systems
- Updateand report “red mark-up” for documentation related to onboard electricalsystems and installations/equipment
- Executeplanned/preventative maintenance in accordance with the company’s maintenanceprogram and ensure that this is updated in the electronic maintenancesystem
- Accordingto requirements specified in the FSE safety regulations, the on-dutyelectrician is delegated as the onboard operational leader and has specialistresponsibility for the operation and maintenance of electrical installations
- Electricianis responsible for ensuring that work is carried out in a safe,
professionalmanner in accordance with the safety provisions contained in the electricalregulations and the company’s and operator’s requirements/standards
- Carryout and record addition/removal of isolation to/from electrical equipmentor electrically operated equipment that is maintained in accordancewith the requirements given in the Permission to Work (PtW) system
- Contributeto that stock is provided with the consumables, parts and tools necessaryfor execution of maintenance within his/her area of responsibility
